In 2022, the AZ State Board of Nursing and AZ State Medicaid approved the Licensed Health Aide (LHA) Program to support families with children in the AZ Long Term Care System (ALTCS) who require skilled needs. This gives an alternative for qualified family caregivers to become licensed and paid to provide limited skilled care to their loved ones (e.g. G-Tube Feeding, grooming, oral and nail care, meal prep, medication administration, tracheotomy care, range of motion exercises and bathing) aged 21 or younger while being under the supervision of an Registered Nurse. 

With Dependable Nurses, our qualified Licensed Health Aides get to provide direct one on one care to their medically fragile loved one.

TO PROVIDE LHA SERVICES YOU MUST:

• Be a parent, guardian, or family member to the individual receiving services.
• Completion of an AZ State Board approved LHA program.  
• Obtain an LHA license from the AZ State Board of Nursing 
• Be employed by an LHA approved home health agency. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• LHA License issues by the Arizona State Nursing Board. 
• Current First Aid/CPR Certification (Online courses NOT accepted) 
• Current TB Test within the last 12 months
• Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by AZDPS 
• Article 9 Training Course
